At the age of eight years Stefanie learned the traditional technique of bobbin lacemaking. She crafts her delicate pieces of jewelry from ultra-thin steel wire and hand-dyed polyamide threads which enable her to create flexible structures and voluminous shapes. In the process, a line evolves into a surface, a surface evolves into a three-dimensional piece. The bobbin technique makes for transparency and lightness.
The result of the ultra-fine materials and her accomplished crafting technique are eminently filigreed treasures whose value cannot be defined by the materials but rather by the amount of time required to handcraft each individual piece.
Stefanies work is a German Design Award 2014 Nominee. She was honored with the Hessian State Award.
German Design Award 2017 - Special Mention for ring Confus.
